CSDA Design Group Announces Senior Staff Promotions

San Francisco, CA – December 7, 2017: CSDA Design Group announced today that Cynthia Ketelsen, AIA, LEED AP has been promoted from Associate Principal to Principal of their San Francisco office to lead their architecture practice in Northern California.  Cynthia has designed and managed new construction and modernization projects for K-12 schools, libraries, theaters, gymnasiums, student housing and recreation and aquatic facilities in the Bay Area for more than 25 years.

As Principal, Cynthia will lead CSDA’s San Francisco architecture practice, which has a 65 year history providing architecture services to school districts in the nine bay area counties. “I look forward to leading the CSDA team to further develop relationships with private and public education clients and continue to design schools that inspire learning.”

“Cynthia’s industry expertise, business acumen and experience in leading successful teams has already made her a vital addition to CSDA,” stated Principal, Randall DeVoto. “I see Cynthia’s engagement in our San Francisco office as proof of CSDA’s commitment to provide excellent service and create long term relationships. We have been fortunate to have someone of Cynthia’s caliber to fulfill this leadership position, so it was a natural transition for our firm. I am confident that she will continue CSDA’s philosophy of listening and collaborating to create high performance schools for our communities.”

CSDA Design Group announced today that Zachary Goodman, AIA, LEED AP, who joined CSDA in 2013, has been promoted from Senior Associate to Associate Principal of our San Francisco office. For more than 25 years, he has been a Project Architect for numerous K-12 schools and several award-winning civic projects. Zak is currently leading architectural services for some of CSDA’s key clients, including the Hayward Unified School District and The Moraga School District. “We have worked hard at CSDA to create a practice that puts client service, quality and creativity first. As an Associate Principal, I will continue to challenge our team to push these values, to act responsibly and to connect with our communities.” Zak will continue to provide excellent service to his clients while serving as CSDA’s educational architecture group leader in Northern California.
