CSDA Design Group Presenting Two Acoustics Papers at the 172nd Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in Hawaii

We are pleased to announce that CSDA Design Group is presenting two papers this week at the 5th joint meeting of the Acoustical Society of America and the Acoustical Society of Japan, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu; they are:
“Airport Cooperative Research Project 02-51: Evaluating Methods for Determining Interior Aircraft Noise Levels” on Thursday December 1 at 11:00 am by CSDA’s Principal of Acoustics, Randy Waldeck, with co-authors Paul Schomer and John C. Freytag.
The talk will present results of a two-year study to improve consistency of interior noise level measurements for airport sound insulation programs nationwide. Funded and published by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program, this study supplements the Guidelines for Airport Sound Insulation Programs published in 2010.
“Acoustical Considerations in Shipping Container Architecture,” on Thursday December 1 at 5:10 pm, by Anat Grant and Randy Waldeck of CSDA.
Case studies and measurement data presented will include an elementary school with large divisible classrooms, a community education center, an after-school youth education and classical music program in an economically struggling Los Angeles community, and a multifamily apartment building in Berkeley, CA.
