Born and raised in Orange County, Mike Schöen, AIA, LEED AP, is a fifth generation Californian. After receiving his Bachelors of Architecture with an emphasis in Environmental Design from San Diego State University, Mike followed his passion farther north for a Masters of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles.

Mike joined CSDA in 2007. He has been instrumental in growing our education practice in Los Angeles. He manages public and private K-12 education projects throughout Southern California and leads CSDA’s international master planning practice. As Principal of CSDA’s Los Angeles office, Mike oversees design work, develops client relationships, and directs the business functions of the office.

Mike currently resides in Long Beach with his wife and two children. He enjoys surfing, soccer and spending time with his family.
