CSDA was retained to provide acoustical consulting services for this mixed-use project located along busy Telegraph Avenue in Oakland. The project consists of a 97-unit apartment building with Type V wood frame construction over a Type I podium. We provided an environmental noise study, along with architectural acoustics input for demising assemblies such as party walls and floor-ceiling assemblies. An analysis of HVAC and mechanical noise/vibration was also conducted.
CSDA has been retained to provide acoustical consulting services for the UCSC Rachel Carson Dining Hall project. The new dining hall will be built to accommodate student demand as well as increase operational efficiencies and provide new amenities such as a performance bar, kitchen and bakery area. The project will achieve a minimum of LEED Silver certification and strive for Gold. CSDA’s scope of services includes room acoustics, sound isolation and MEP noise/vibration.
CSDA is providing acoustical consulting for the Mission Bay South Block 9. We are providing acoustical recommendations for the project to meet City and State code requirements. Our consulting includes an environmental noise study, schematic design review, design development review, construction document review, as well as assistance with permitting, bidding and negotiation assistance. Construction administration is also being provided. The project utilizes pre-fabricated residential modules and is designed to house formerly homeless individuals.

The eighteen-story building will have 112 multi-family units ranging from studios to 4 bedroom apartments. Our services include an environmental noise study, acoustical design input from Design Development through Construction Administration, and the preparation of a construction noise and vibration control plan.
