CSDA Design Group designed the new Gibbons Hall of Music (17,000sf). The three-story contemporary building is irregularly shaped with curved walls and barrel rooflines, and was designed to maximize ocean views. Its decorative arch makes a bold statement and gives a distinctive identity to the 11-acre campus while seamlessly blending into its vernacular. Strategically placed at the confluence of several circulation paths, the entrance features a dramatic grand stairway that creates a gateway between the school’s academic and athletic zones. An upper plaza provides a viewing area for athletic events and a gathering space for up to 150 people.
