Randy Waldeck to Speak at NoiseCon 2016

We are pleased to announce that CSDA’s Principal of Acoustics, Randy Waldeck, will be speaking at the Institute of Noise Control Engineering’s New England Noise Con-16 on June 13-15 in Providence, RI. The theme for this year’s conference is Revolution in Noise Control. Randy will be speaking on Tuesday, June 14 at 1:00 pm on “Evaluating Methods for Determining Interior Aircraft Noise Levels.”
Randy Waldeck, Paul Schomer and John C. Freytag will present the results of their two-year study to improve consistency of interior noise level measurements for airport sound insulation programs nationwide. Funded and published by TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program, this study supplements the Guidelines for Airport Sound Insulation Programs published in 2010.
The team conducted research to understand the differences between measurement methods and ways to identify and minimize inaccuracies in determining interior noise levels. The TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) published the findings in March 2016.
