Randall B. DeVoto, AIA, LEED AP

Principal, Architecture & Sound Insulation Programs

Born and raised in San Francisco, Randy knew he wanted to become an architect in the second grade when he chose to design a new stadium for the New York Giants after their move to the Bay Area. Architecture combines his love for art and science. Randy believes that good design is about solving a given set of problems in a way that is aesthetically pleasing and respectful of the environment.

Randy joined CSDA more than 45 years ago, and through his leadership, the firm has expanded to two office locations, which provide a range of services including architecture, international master planning, and acoustical consulting. The core values that guide him and the firm are innovation, flexibility, and teamwork. Randy’s vision for the future of CSDA includes a continued focus on strategic partnerships, sustainability, and energy analysis, and 21st century design for schools.

In his free time, Randy enjoys being with his family at their Russian River cabin, cooking, playing golf, and doing charity work as a member of the Order of Malta.
