Randy D. Waldeck, PE, LEED AP

Principal, Sound Insulation

Growing up in Los Angeles, Randy’s family knew that he would follow their professional path and become a third generation engineer due to his fondness for taking apart everything from toys to phones. After graduating with a degree in industrial technology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Randy moved to San Francisco to work as a sound insulation consultant. His interest in noise mitigation was born out of a personal passion for music and live concerts.

Throughout his career, Randy has traveled all over the U.S. to measure, model, analyze and develop sound insulation solutions to mitigate and control aircraft noise that impacts residences adjacent to airports and those that are directly in arriving and departing flight paths.

Randy enjoys living in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family because he can be at the beach, forest, or the city in less than 30 minutes. In his free time, he chases his young kids and enjoys camping and hiking.
